Confucius Classrooms
A school is awarded the Confucius Classroom status after demonstrating a good track record of teaching Chinese and acting as a hub for promoting Chinese language learning in their local area.
Out of 150 Confucius Classrooms across the UK, Manchester Confucius Institute has helped four local schools to get the status by supporting them during their language learning journey. The majority of learners now take YCT, GCSE and A-level exams and achieve good results.
- Confucius Classroom at St Paul's CE Primary School established in 2008
- Confucius Classroom at The Gleddings Preparatory School in 2010
- Confucius Classroom at All Hallows Catholic College in 2016
In addition to those four schools, we deliver Chinese language courses either as part of the curriculum or as afterschool clubs at Oasis Academy Limeside, Stockport Grammar School, Pownall Hall School, Cheadle Hulme School. We also run after school sports clubs at Stockport Grammar School (table tennis) and Co-op Academy North Manchester (Tai Chi).
