Teacher training for non-Chinese-speaking educators

Do you work in primary or secondary education in the UK? If you are already teaching Chinese in local schools and are looking for opportunities to update your skills, or if you want to introduce Mandarin Chinese to your school, we can help you to do this.

We run an annual teacher training programme in partnership with Beijing Normal University for local teachers. All participants are invited to submit their teaching demonstration so that discussion can be held on specific teaching approaches, techniques and pedagogies. They are offered for free to those who are already teaching locally or who aspire to teach Chinese as a second language.

In addition, we support Chinese language learning among the Chinese-speaking communities through advice to the head teachers on language learning and teaching observations.

As a HSK and YCT test centre, we can help schools to administer YCT tests to their pupils and advise on the syllabuses and teaching materials for this test.
