The Confucius Institute (CI) is prepared to help students at the University of Manchester to become the future leaders of the UK-China collaboration in business, trade, education, and culture. We run a number of schemes that provide financial support to help students acquire the skills they need to progress in their study of China.
The Confucius Institute can help students of the Institute and The University of Manchester find a route to China via our Scholarships.
To support Chinese students studying at The University of Manchester, the CI has a relationship with the Chinese Consulate, and the China Students and Scholars Association Manchester.
Work in China
We work with our partner university Beijing Normal University (BNU), the British Council (BC) and a small selection of organisations to provide teaching jobs and internships in China.
The Confucius Institute Scholarship programme provides financial aid for students, scholars and Chinese language teachers to study in a Chinese university for a limited period.
