Services to Schools and Community
We welcome the opportunities to work with local schools and communities. In the past two years, we have established contact with over 30 local schools, advising them on the strategic planning for introducing Chinese into schools, helping them to set up after school clubs, sending in teachers to deliver teaching as well as delivering language taster and cultural workshops. Our services to the schools can cover the following:
- consultancy on planning, assessment and qualifications
- assistance with teacher recruitment by advice on job description, participating in selection process and recommendation
- deliver teaching on a short-term basis (one semester)
- advice on setting up partnership links with Chinese schools
- deliver language taster and cultural workshops
- deliver specilaist seminars on China or aspects of China
We have worked closely with local cultural agencies and communities to jointly stage events and activities. Our partners include Manchester Urbis Museum, Manchester Museum, Manchester Literature Festival, Bolton History Society. We also assist media or other cultural organisation with their research on China.
