When learners enter into the intermediate stage of Chinese learning, the acquisition of Chinese characters becomes necessary. Please note that at the beginning of this course, if you only have a very limited acquisition of Chinese characters, you can still continue with this course. Our tutor will provide you with the learning texts supplemented with pinyin (Chinese pronunciation system).
The learning material is based on the textbook, Chinese in Steps Volume 2 (edited by George X Zhang, Cypress Book Co. UK Ltd. 2005). Focusing on the training of Chinese speaking and listening, the tutor will also assist learners with the recognition of Chinese characters across sessions and help learners to develop their Chinese writing skills in a relaxing and enjoyable way.
