Chinese in schools
Hundreds of institutions in the UK are beginning to prioritise learning about China and Chinese language. We can help your school become one of them.
Our teaching and learning programmes are designed for those schools that recognise the importance of familiarising their pupils with Chinese cultural and linguistic practice but do not yet have the capacity to introduce these elements into their core curriculum.
We support schools in developing their Chinese language learning facilities through a range of different activities including bespoke workshop packages like our China Day for primary schools and China Connect for secondary schools.
Our innovative Teacher training programmes for non-Chinese speaking teachers were recently featured in The Guardian Teacher Network. They prepare English-speaking teachers to deliver Chinese language taster sessions with the aid of tailor-made courseware and multimedia tools; enable teachers to introduce Chinese arts & crafts, songs & games as well as sports activities with step-by-step instructions and templates.
